CTeen Bucks is building a generation of Jewish teens who are connected to who they are, confident in what they believe, and prepared to lead.

The formative years
High school is a defining window. It is when young people begin deciding what they believe, who they want to become, and what role their Jewish identity will have in their lives.
CTeen Bucks is intentionally present during those years with a year-round ecosystem designed to develop identity, leadership, relationships, responsibility, and pride.

The CTeen experience
01 / Leadership development
Programs like the Solomon Leadership Program give teens access to accomplished leaders, mentors, substantive conversations, and opportunities to develop the skills and confidence to lead.
02 / Immersive retreats
Regional and international Shabbatons take teens outside their everyday environment and immerse them in Jewish life alongside hundreds, and sometimes thousands, of their peers.
03 / Global experiences
From New York to Guatemala and beyond, carefully designed travel experiences combine adventure, Jewish identity, service, culture, and memories that last for years.
04 / Jewish learning
Weekly learning gives teens a place to engage seriously with Judaism and develop a Jewish worldview during some of the most formative years of their lives.
05 / Teen-led Jewish life
High school clubs, leadership boards, and teen initiatives put responsibility into the hands of teens themselves.
06 / Service and responsibility
Through Friendship Circle, community service initiatives, and hands-on volunteer opportunities, teens learn to take responsibility for someone else.
Why Chai?
In Hebrew, Chai means life. Its numerical value is 18, which is why Jewish giving has traditionally been made in multiples of 18.
For us, Chai is a Jewish teenager choosing to show up, lead, travel somewhere new, ask a serious question, take responsibility for another person, and discover that being Jewish is not simply something they inherited. It is something they can own.
